[English Club]

These are some sentences you can use with your children when you are playing with toys together:

Toys:

- Do you want to play with this toy?

- What is it?

- What can it do?

Puzzles:

- Do you want to put together this puzzle?

- Where does this piece go?

- See, if you put this piece here then it will make part of the picture.

- Does this look right to you?

- Does this piece fit here?

- Try turning the piece.  Maybe it will fit then.

- Don't push the piece so hard.  If it is the right piece then it will fit easily.

Blocks:

- Do you want to play with blocks (legos)?

- What color is this block?

- Can you put these pieces together?

- Let's build something with the blocks.  What do you want to build?

- Wow!  That's a good idea!  Putting those two pieces together looks very nice.

- These pieces don't fit together.  Try this piece instead.

Animal figures:

- What animal is this?

- What does a (lion) say?

- Can a (lion) swim?

- What color is the (lion)?

Cars:

- Look at this car.  It's very cool!

- Pull the car back and let go.  Then the car will go!

- What color is this car?

- Drive the car over here to the (lion).  The (lion) wants to drive in/on the car.

Dolls:

- Do you like this doll?

- What's her name?

- Can you show me her clothes?

- Do you want to dress the doll?

- What is the doll going to do?

Balls:

- This is a (green) ball. 

- Is it big or small?

- Can you throw the ball to Mommy?  Carefully, please.

- Mommy is going to throw the ball to you.  Try to catch it.  Hold out your hands like this.

- Yeah!  You caught the ball!  Throw it back to Mommy.

- Oops, you didn't catch the ball.  That's okay.  Let's try again.

- Can you roll the ball to Mommy?

- Mommy is going to roll it back to you.

You can say: "I have tried my best."

I understand everything you have written. Your English is good. It doesn't have to be perfect or the same as a native speaker. Just relax and try to enjoy it.

Almost everything you wrote is correct. That is very impressive. English writing is the hardest part.

One mistake which you can easily correct is "must to". Many Thai people say this, but it is not correct. After "must" you have to put another verb/action.

For example:
- You must eat.
- I must find out.
- He must go home.

You can't say "must to". Try to write or say that. It is a small mistake, but many people in Thailand make it.

It is the same with "certainly". You can't say "certainly to".

Usually, you can use ________ to with:
- want to (jump/swim/talk/action)
- have to (action)
- need to (action)
- like to (action)
- got to (action)
- go to (place)
- try to (action)

These are the most common things to use with "to".

Again, don't worry. You are doing an excellent, wonderful job for your kids. They are very lucky.
