Mom:Around 3 weeks,There are selfish persons have been burning the forests it cause murky weather ประมาณ3 อาทิตย์แล้วมีคนเห็นแก่ตัวจำนวนมากเผาป่่าป็นเหตุให้อากาศขมุกขมัว

- อากาศขมุขมัวแบบมีหมอกควันมากๆเราใช้ศัพท์อะไรคะ

-และเวลาอากาศดูมืดๆไม่ปลอดโปร่งเหมือนฝนใกล้จะตก

หรือว่าใช้ merky weather เหมือนกัน

ลองดูประโยคนี้เป็นทางเลือกอีกประโยคนะครับ:

For 3 weeks now, forest fire set by selfish people is causing haze.

- อากาศขมุขมัวแบบมีหมอกควันมากๆเราใช้ศัพท์อะไรคะ

ใช้คำว่า "hazy" (adjective)  หรือ "haze"(noun)  ตามความหมายจาก Longman Dictionary ตามนี้ครับ:

haz‧y

1 air that is hazy is not clear because there is a lot of smoke, dust, or mist in it

เช่น  It's still a very hazy day.  We have to drive carefully.

haze [singular, uncountable]

smoke, dust, or mist in the air which is difficult to see through

เช่น  Haze in the north caused planes to delay.

-  ส่วน "murky"  จะหมายถึง "dark and difficult to see"  ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเห็นว่าใช้กับ น้ำ ว่าน้ำขุ่น มัวมาก  เช่น   We cannot swim in this pond because the water is so murky.

-  ในข่าวบางทีก็ใช้ "smog" เหมือนกัน ซึ่งหมายถึง ควันหรือหมอกที่เกิดจากมลพิษเช่นจากการเผาป่า, โรงงาน หรือควันรถ

-และเวลาอากาศดูมืดๆไม่ปลอดโปร่งเหมือนฝนใกล้จะตก

The sky is gray/cloudy.  It looks like it's going to rain. 

มีอีกคำนึง คือ overcast  ซึ่งเป็นคำที่เป็นทางการกว่า cloudy หรือ gray แต่ความหมายเหมือนกันคือ มีเมฆมาก ไม่ปลอดโปร่ง

ขอเสริมประโยคแรกที่เขียนว่า  For 3 weeks now, forest fire set by selfish people is causing haze.  ควรจะเป็น 2 ประโยคนี้ดีกว่า:

-  For (about) 3 weeks now, forest fire set by selfish people has been causing haze.  เพราะมีวลีขยายว่า for 3 weeks now  ซึ่งควรใช้เป็น  Present perfect continuous tense มากกว่า

 

-  Forest fire set by selfish people 3 weeks ago is still causing fire.   หากใช้วลีแบบนี้ก็ใช้เป็น Present continuous tense ได้เหมือนเดิม
