นิทาน ราชสีห์ กับ หนู

1  สิงโตเหนื่อย

2  ก้อเลยนอนพักผ่อนใต้ต้นไม้

3  แล้วก้อมีหนูตัวหนึ่งวิ่งผ่านมาโดยไม่ได้ตั้งใจ

4  สิงโตเลยตื่นขึ้นมา เพราะว่าโมโห

5  จึงจะจับหนูกิน

6  หนูน้อยฉลาด

7  บอกว่าหนูอาจจะช่วยสิงโตได้ซักวัน

8  สิงโตหัวเราะ

9  บอกหนูว่า

10 หนูตัวเล็กนิดเดียวจะทำอะไรได้

11 แต่สิงโตก้อปล่อยหนูไป

12 เวลาผ่านไป

13 สิงโตมาติดตาข่ายของนายพราน

14 สิงโตร้องเสียงดังมาก

15 หนูได้ยิน ก้อเลยมา

16 หนูบอกว่าจะมาช่วยสิงโตตามที่เคยพูดไว้

17 หนูกัดตาข่ายขาด

18 สิงโตก้อออกมาได้

19 สิงโตไม่คิดว่าหนูตัวเล็กจะมาช่วยตัวเองไว้ได้

20 จึงรีบขอบใจและสัญญาว่าจะไม่ดูถูกใครอีก

21 สิงโตกับหนูก้อเป็นเพื่อนกันในที่สุด

2 ก้อเลยนอนพักผ่อนใต้ต้นไม้ = then he took a nap under a big tree

3 แล้วก้อมีหนูตัวหนึ่งวิ่งผ่านมาโดยไม่ได้ตั้งใจ = there was a mouse ran past without any intentness

4 สิงโตเลยตื่นขึ้นมา เพราะว่าโมโห = the lion woke up and he was very angry with the mouse

5 จึงจะจับหนูกิน = and he would like to eat the mouse

6 หนูน้อยฉลาด = the mouse was very clever

7 บอกว่าหนูอาจจะช่วยสิงโตได้ซักวัน = the mouse said he could safe the lion in one day

8 สิงโตหัวเราะ = the lion laughed at him (mouse)

9 บอกหนูว่า = the lion said

10 หนูตัวเล็กนิดเดียวจะทำอะไรได้ = "you are too small, how can you help me"

11 แต่สิงโตก้อปล่อยหนูไป = finally the lion let the mouse go

12 เวลาผ่านไป = later on

13 สิงโตมาติดตาข่ายของนายพราน = the lion was trapped in the hunter's net

14 สิงโตร้องเสียงดังมาก = the lion roared loudly

15 หนูได้ยิน ก้อเลยมา = the mouse heard and he remebered that lion's voice

16 หนูบอกว่าจะมาช่วยสิงโตตามที่เคยพูดไว้ = the mouse talked to the lion that he would help the lion as a promise

17 หนูกัดตาข่ายขาด = the mouse bit the net

18 สิงโตก้อออกมาได้ = the lion was released

19 สิงโตไม่คิดว่าหนูตัวเล็กจะมาช่วยตัวเองไว้ได้ = the lion never thought that the little mouse could help him in one day

20 จึงรีบขอบใจและสัญญาว่าจะไม่ดูถูกใครอีก = the lion said a big thank to the mouse and he promised that he would not look down anyone else.

21 สิงโตกับหนูก้อเป็นเพื่อนกันในที่สุด = finally the lion and the mouse were a good friend

กาลครั้งหนึ่งนานมาแล้ว.....Once up on a time
ราชสีห์ตัวใหญ่กำลังนอนหลับอยู่ใต้ต้นไม้...a huge lion ras sleeping peacefully under a tree.
มีหนูตัวเล็กๆไต่ขึ้นลงตามตัวราชสีห์.....A little mouse ran up and down on the lion.

"เจ้ากล้าดีอย่างไรทำให้ข้าตื่น ข้าจะกินเจ้า...How dare you? You woke me up.I'm going to eat you.
ราชสีห์ตวาดอย่างโมโห.....The lion said angrily.

เจ้าหนูกลัวมาก......The mouse was very afraid.
(แข็งใจพูดว่า)โอ้!!ไม่นะ ข้าขอโทษที่ทำให้ท่านตื่น....."Oh,! no!! I'm sorry I wokeyou up.
โปรดอย่ากินข้าเลย.....Please don't eat me.
บางที วันหนึ่งข้าอาจจะช่วยท่านได้นะ....Maybe,one day ,I can help you.
ได้โปรดปล่อยข้าไปเถอะนะ....Please let me go.

"หนูตัวเล็กๆอย่างเจ้า จะมาช่วยอะไรข้าได้"...."How can a little mouse help me?"
"ก็ได้ คราววนี้ข้าจะยกโทษให้"....."OK this time I'll Forgive you".

ราชสีห์หัวเราะลั่น....The lion laughed loudly.
"โอ ขอบคุณ ขอบคุณ "........."Oh Thank you. Thank you,"
เจ้าหนูกล่าวอย่างยินดีปรีดา......said the mouse happily.

หลายวันต่อมา,ราชสีห์เดินอยู่ในป่า.......Many days later,the lion walked through the forest.
ก็เกิดเสียงดัง "แกร๊บ" ราชสีห์ติดกับดักของนายพรานเข้า........Snap! The lion was caught in a trap hunter.
มันร้องคำรามลั่นป่า......The lion roar.

เจ้าหนูได้ยินเสียงคำราม จึงวิ่งตรงไปยังเสียงนั้น.....The mouse heard a lion's roar toward the sound.
"อ้าว!! ท่านนี่เอง" เจ้าหนูพูดขึ้น......"OH, it's you!" said the mouse.
"ช่วยข้าด้วยเถอะ" ราชสีห์ขอร้อง....."Please help me," begged the lion.

เจ้าหนูจึงกัดเชือกจนขาดอย่างรวดเร็ว,..........The mouse chewed through the rope quickly,..
แล้วราชสีห์ก็เป็นอิสระ.....and finally the lion was free.

"ขอบใจเจ้านะ เจ้าหนูตัวน้อย........."Thank you a little mouse ,.....
.ในที่สุดวันนี้ เพื่อนตัวน้อยก็ได้มาเป็นเพื่อนที่ย่งใหญ่ของข้า".......Finally a little mouse became my great friend today,"
ราชสีห์สีพูด.....said the lion.

The Lion and the Mouse

Once when a Lion was asleep a little Mouse began running up and down upon him; this soon wakened the Lion, who placed his huge paw upon him, and opened his big jaws to swallow him. "Pardon, O King," cried the little Mouse: "forgive me this time, I shall never forget it: who knows but what I may be able to do you a turn some of these days?"

The Lion was so tickled at the idea of the Mouse being able to help him, that he lifted up his paw and let him go. Some time after the Lion was caught in a trap, and the hunters who desired to carry him alive to the King, tied him to a tree while they went in search of a wagon to carry him on.

Just then the little Mouse happened to pass by, and seeing the sad plight in which the Lion was, went up to him and soon gnawed away the ropes that bound the King of the Beasts. "Was I not right?" said the little Mouse.

Little friends may prove great friends.

Once, as a lion lay sleeping in his den, a naughty little mouse ran up his tail, and onto his back and up his mane and danced and jumped on his head ...

...so that the lion woke up.
The lion grabbed the mouse and, holding him in his large claws, roared in anger. 'How dare you wake me up! Don't you know that I am King of the Beasts? Anyone who disturbs my rest deserves to die! I shall kill you and eat you!'

The terrified mouse, shaking and trembling, begged the lion to let him go. 'Please don't eat me Your Majesty! I did not mean to wake you, it was a mistake. I was only playing. Please let me go - and I promise I will be your friend forever. Who knows but one day I could save your life?'

The lion looked at the tiny mouse and laughed. 'You save my life? What an absurd idea!' he said scornfully. 'But you have made me laugh, and put me into a good mood again, so I shall let you go.' And the lion opened his claws and let the mouse go free.

'Oh thank you, your majesty,' squeaked the mouse, and scurried away as fast as he could.

A few days later the lion was caught in a hunter's snare. Struggle as he might, he couldn't break free and became even more entangled in the net of ropes. He let out a roar of anger that shook the forest. Every animal heard it, including the tiny mouse.





'My friend the lion is in trouble,' cried the mouse. He ran as fast as he could in the direction of the lion's roar, and soon found the lion trapped in the hunter's snare. 'Hold still, Your Majesty,' squeaked the mouse. 'I'll have you out of there in a jiffy!' And without further delay, the mouse began nibbling through the ropes with his sharp little teeth. Very soon the lion was free.

'I did not believe that you could be of use to me, little mouse, but today you saved my life,' said the lion humbly.

'It was my turn to help you, Sire,' answered the mouse.

Even the weak and small may be of help to those much mightier than themselves.
