1. ถังพลาสติกใหญ่ๆ ตามรูป ที่ใช้ใส่น้ำ ใส่ข้าวสาร ใส่ขยะ เรียกว่าอะไรคะ

2. ปากขวด ใช่ mouth of bottle รึเปล่าคะ บอกลูกว่า "นี่มันก้นขวด หนูต้องเอาลูกหินใส่ด้านปากขวดค่ะ" This is the bottom, you must put the rock into the mouth side.????

3. หินที่ใช้ผสมปูนก่อสร้าง เรียก rock หรือ stone คะ
stone ใช่มั้ยเพราะเล็กกว่า rock เคยมีกระทู้เก่าแต่ไม่ค่อยมั่นใจเท่าไรค่ะ

แถมเทคนิคจำให้ด้วย อย่างนี้จำแม่นเลยค่า

คือห้องน้ำที่บ้านใช้ถังแบบนี้รองน้ำน่ะค่ะ เวลาลูกยืนอาบน้ำก็จะเอาเป็ด เอาบอลลอยในถัง พอจะบอกให้เค้าเกาะขอบถัง ก็นึกไม่ออกทุกทีเลย เวลาพูดสั้นๆ ใช้ว่า Tao, come here..hold the edge. look! there are many toys in the water bucket หรือ water tub น่าจะได้ใช่มั้ยคะ

ถังน้ำพร้อมฝาขนาด 8 แกลลอน = Bucket with lit size 8 gallon

อันไหนใหญ่ ๆ ก็ใช้เป็น tub อ่ะครับ

เค้าก็บอกว่าอธิบายได้ยาก ถามว่าแตกต่างไซด์กันไม๊
เค้าก็บอกว่า ไม่....บาง rock ใหญ่ บ้างเล็ก เช่นเดียวกับ stone

Any prominent peak, cliff, or promontory, usually bare, when considered as a mass, e.g. the Rock of Gibraltar. 3. A rocky mass lying at or near the surface of a body of water, or along a jagged coastline, esp. where dangerous to shipping. 4. A slang term for a gem or diamond.
So, yes there are slight differences in rock and stone. However, many times they are used as synonyms. Rock is used in geology. Stone is rarely used.
Answer
As suggested above, there is much overlap in the use of the two words. Both words came from Old English: stone stan, and rock rocc, the former coming from older Germanic languages while the latter is suggested to have come from Celtic.
Stone is used when describing building materials ("stone houses", not "rock houses"), headstones are made from various rocks... confusing, isn't it!
