    น้อยจัง  แม่รู้ไหมบริษัทของพ่อมีพนักงานเยอะมาก ประมาณ 2000 คนได้

   บริษัทของแม่เป็นบริษัทเล็กๆ แต่ของพ่อเป็นบริษัทใหญ่

    บริษัทที่พ่อทำงานเป็นบริษัทใหญ่อันดับต้นๆของประเทศ

5. The first time, P' est worked at bangkok bank and quitted. Now he works at kasikorn bank and will quite the end of this month.

    ครั้งแรกพี่เอสเขาทำงานที่ธนาคารกรุงเทพและลาออก  ตอนนี้ทำงานที่กสิกรไทยและจะลาออกสิ้นเดือนนี้

6. His colleage will give him a send-off party on upcoming friday.

    เพื่อนที่ทำงานจะเลี้ยงส่งในวันศุกร์ที่จะถึงนี้

7. Why does he want to quite again?  I think Bangkok bank and kasikorn bank are the top bank of thailand. May be he get lots of money

    พี่ลาออกทำไม  หนูว่า ทั้งสองธนาคารก็เป็นธนาคารใหญ่อันดับต้นๆของไทยนะ พี่เขาน่าจะได้เงินเดือนเยอะนะ

8.  He has his own reason, May be he doesn't like this job and  is looking for some job which is match himself.

    พี่เขามีเหตุผลของเขา   บางทีเขาอาจจะไม่ชอบงานแบบนี้ และกำลังหางานที่เหมาะกับตัวเขาอยู่ก็ได้  

9.  We have to accept his decision.

     เราต้องยอมรับการตัดสินใจของเขา

10. I have watched this movie when I was young, both on TV and in the cinema.  Now, it is remaked again.

     แม่เคยดูหนังเรื่องนี้ตอนเป็นเด็กทั้งที่เป็นละครในทีวีและเป็นหนังในโรงหนัง ตอนนี้เขาเอากลับมาสร้างใหม่

11. He has to put down a deposit of 50% before work is started, and pay the rest of 50 % after work is completed.

     เขาต้องวางเงินมัดจำ 50 % ก่อนเริ่มงาน และจ่ายที่เหลือ 50 % หลังจากงานเสร็จแล้ว

    บริษัทของแม่มีพนักงานกี่คน / แผนกของแม่มีพนักงานกี่คน

->  คำว่า "staff"  เป็น collective noun ซึ่งจะไม่เติม "s"  แต่สามารถตามด้วย verb ทั้งที่เป็น เอกพจน์ และพหูพจน์ (หากใช้แบบ British English)   เช่น  The company has 2000 staff. /  The company has a staff of 2000.  หรือ  The staff is/are very helpful here.

แต่หากจะใช้เน้นเป็น "คนๆ"  จะใช้ staff member(s) ก็ได้เหมือนกัน  ครับเป็น  How many staff / staff members are there in your company/ department?

    น้อยจัง  แม่รู้ไหมบริษัทของพ่อมีพนักงานเยอะมาก ประมาณ 2000 คนได้

นามนับได้ เลยต้องเป็น few  ครับ

   บริษัทของแม่เป็นบริษัทเล็กๆ แต่ของพ่อเป็นบริษัทใหญ่

->  ได้ครับ

->  Daddy's company is one of the top companies in Thailand.

-> P'est started her first job at Bangkok Bank and later quit/quitted.  He is currently/now working at Kasikorn Bank but will quit his job again at the end of this month.

->  ได้ครับ  หรือ send-off อย่างเดียว หรือ farewell party ก็ได้ครับ

    พี่ลาออกทำไม  หนูว่า ทั้งสองธนาคารก็เป็นธนาคารใหญ่อันดับต้นๆของไทยนะ พี่เขาน่าจะได้เงินเดือนเยอะนะ

->  Why does he want to quit again?  I think/believe Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn Bank are regarded as top banks in Thailand.  He should have earned good money at the bank.

น่าจะได้เงินเดือนเยอะ ใช้ should have earned good money  เพราะพูดถึงสถานการณ์ที่พี่เขาน่าจะได้เงินดีมาตลอดแล้ว 

8.  He has his own reason, May be he doesn't like this job and  is looking for some job which is match himself.

    พี่เขามีเหตุผลของเขา   บางทีเขาอาจจะไม่ชอบงานแบบนี้ และกำลังหางานที่เหมาะกับตัวเขาอยู่ก็ได้  

->  อันนี้อาจจะเปลี่ยนข้างหลังหน่อยเป็นอย่างนี้  ...is looking for a new one which is more suitable for him.  ครับ

9.  We have to accept his decision.

     เราต้องยอมรับการตัดสินใจของเขา

->  ได้ครับ

->  เปลี่ยน it is remaked again  เป็น Now, it's a remake of that movie. หรือ  Now, it's been remade.  ไม่ต้องมี again เพราะมี "re-" อยู่แล้วครับ

     เขาต้องวางเงินมัดจำ 50 % ก่อนเริ่มงาน และจ่ายที่เหลือ 50 % หลังจากงานเสร็จแล้ว

->  He has to put down a deposit of 50% (หรือ a 50% deposit) before the work starts and pays the remaining 50% (หรือ the rest) after the work is completed.

      I am good   เนี่ย เป็นการปฏิเสธแบบสุภาพใช่ไหมค่ะ  น่าจะสุภาพกว่า  No, Thanks.   ใช่ไหมค่ะ

nationwide(adj.,adv.) = ทั่วประเทศ

 

13.  เขาไม่ได้นั่งอยู่หน้าเคาน์เตอร์  แต่เขาทำงานอย่างอื่น  ( ไม่ได้นั่งเคาน์เตอร์ธนาคารคอยรับฝาก-ถอนเงิน)

->  เพิ่มอีกแบบนะครับ  He's not a teller, but he does something else.

 

14. ถ้าเราเก็บของผิดที่ เช่น เข็มขัดต้องเก็บในตู้เสื้อผ้า แต่เขาเอาวางบนโต๊ะแทน  เราจะพูดว่า 

      You put it in the wrong place  หรือ  You misplace your belt.    ใช้แบบไหนค่ะ

->  เหมือนกันครับ   แต่ You put it in the wrong place.  จะมีความหมายอีกบริบทคือ วางในที่ที่ไม่ควรวาง ครับ  แต่ misplace มีความหมายตรงๆ ว่า หายไปเพราะวางผิดที่ครับ

 

 

14. A :  May I give you some drink?

      B :  I am good.

      I am good   เนี่ย เป็นการปฏิเสธแบบสุภาพใช่ไหมค่ะ  น่าจะสุภาพกว่า  No, Thanks.   ใช่ไหมค่ะ

->  I'm good.  นี่ผมเคยถามฝรั่งเหมือนกัน ซึ่งประโยคนี้ = No thanks.  แต่ "I'm good."  เป็นภาษาพูดแบบไม่เป็นทางการแบบ Am.E.   ซึ่งอาจจะย่อมาจาก "I'm good without it."  ไม่ได้สื่อว่าสุภาพหรือไม่สุภาพ  แต่หากให้เป็นทางการก็จะเป็น No, thanks. ครับ

I'm good.  ใน Am.E. ยังใช้แทน "I'm fine."   เป็นคำตอบของคำถาม "How are you (doing)?"  ด้วยครับ แต่ก็เป็นแบบภาษาพูดแบบไม่เป็นทางการครับ

แต่ตรงที่ A ถาม จิ๊บว่า เขาถามว่า May I get you a drink? หรือ May I get you something to drink? มั้งค่ะ

I wonder why he resigns his job. I think that both of banks are the top ones in Thailand. He should get a good/high salary.
