2. If you want to do well in the exam, you have to get yourself ready in advance.

   ถ้าอยากทำข้อสอบได้ดี  ต้องเตรียมตัวให้พร้อมล่วงหน้า

3. You will get your free time back after ending exam.

   หนูจะได้เวลาว่างคืนหลังการสอบเสร็จ

4. You don't have enough care that 's why you can't use something sharp as such knife, cutter by yourself.

5. In the evening, daddy wasn't stuck in traffice on the road, but I got stuck so much.

    เมื่อตอนเย็น คุณพ่อรถไม่ติด แต่แม่รถติดมาก

   ตรง  daddy wasn't stuck   ถ้าใช้ว่า  daddy didn't get stuck  ได้ไหมค่ะ 

6. What about you?  My traffice is very good.

    แล้วหนูรถติดหรือไม่    ไมติดเลย

 ใช้ว่า  My traffice is very good. /  The traffic is good for me   ได้ไหม

In the evening, I was stuck in the heavy traffic on the way home, but not Daddy. Traffic his way was very light.

6. What about you?  My traffice is very good.  แล้วหนูรถติดหรือไม่    ไมติดเลย 

 ใช้ว่า  My traffice is very good. /  The traffic is good for me   ได้ไหม

     What about you? I got no traffic.

    He drove dangerously / recklessly.

->  You don't exercise enough caution.  That's why you can't use sharp objects like knife, cutter on your own.

on your own = by yourself;  (exercise) caution =  (ใช้)ความระมัดระวัง เพื่อที่หลีกเลี่ยงอันตราย

5. In the evening, daddy wasn't stuck in traffice on the road, but I got stuck so much.

    เมื่อตอนเย็น คุณพ่อรถไม่ติด แต่แม่รถติดมาก

   ตรง  daddy wasn't stuck   ถ้าใช้ว่า  daddy didn't get stuck  ได้ไหมค่ะ 

->  ได้ครับ   Yesterday evening, I was stuck/caught in very heavy traffic, but daddy was lucky, he didn't experience any traffic jam.

6. What about you?  My traffice is very good.

    แล้วหนูรถติดหรือไม่    ไมติดเลย

 ใช้ว่า  My traffice is very good. /  The traffic is good for me   ได้ไหม

->  No traffic jam./ Very light traffic indeed.    ส่วน Traffic is good ก็เข้าใจได้  แต่ส่วนใหญ่จะใช้แบบอื่นมากกว่าครับ

7. เขาขับรถน่ากลัวน่าหวาดเสียวจัง  

->  Reckless เหมือนป้าจิ๊บก็ได้ครับ  หรือจะเป็น  "hair-raising"(adj.)  = น่ากลัว เพราะสิ่งที่ทำอันตราย  เช่น:

    -  He's driving in a hair-raising manner. 

    -  How he drives is pretty hair-raising.

   -  I got a hair-raising ride on the motorcycle taxi to come here.

   ทุกอย่างที่แม่ทำ ที่แม่สอน ให้หนู มันจะดีกับตัวหนูเอง ไม่ใช่กับแม่ พ่อ หรือคนอื่น

   ( ทุกอย่างเช่น การสั่งสอน ว่ากล่าว ตักเตือน บังคับให้อ่านหนังสือ ให้ทำสิ่งต่างๆ   จะพูดแบบรวมๆ นะค่ะ)

->  ประโยคที่คุณรัชนีเขียนมาผมว่าก็ใช้ได้นะครับ เพียงแต่เปลี่ยน good on you เป็น good for you  เพราะ "good on you"  จะเป็นสำนวนหมายถึง  "อึ่ม..ทำได้ดี/  พูดได้ดีแล้ว"  = Well said!  หรือ Well done!

หรือจะเป็นอีกแบบเป็น:  Everything I do is for your own good.   I mean it for the best. ก็ได้ครับ

"mean it for the best"  = เป็นสำนวน คือ หวังดี หรือหวังในสิ่งที่ดี ถึงแม้จะตักเตือน ว่ากล่าว ฯลฯ ซึ่งอาจจะทำให้เข้าใจไปอีกอย่าง

     ถ้าจะพูดถึงสถาพการจราจรทั่วไป

     เช่น  วันนี้รถติดจัง   The traffic is bad today.  /  There is a lot of traffic today.

            วันนี้รถไม่ติด   The traffic isn't bad today.  /   There isn't any traffice today.

     เคยรู้มาว่า  traffic jam  คือ   การที่รถติดเป็นจุดๆ  จุดใดจุดหนึ่ง

     ถ้าพูดถึงสภาพรถติดแบบทั่วไป   น่าจะใช้ว่า  the traffic is bad   มากกว่า

5. ถ้าจะพูดว่า  เรารถติด  

     ต้องใช้ว่า The traffice on my way is bad/ heavy.  หรือ  I get/am stuck in the bad/heavy traffic.

     ถ้าจะพูดถึงสถาพการจราจรทั่วไป

     เช่น  วันนี้รถติดจัง   The traffic is bad today.  /  There is a lot of traffic today.

            วันนี้รถไม่ติด   The traffic isn't bad today.  /   There isn't any traffice today.

     เคยรู้มาว่า  traffic jam  คือ   การที่รถติดเป็นจุดๆ  จุดใดจุดหนึ่ง

     ถ้าพูดถึงสภาพรถติดแบบทั่วไป   น่าจะใช้ว่า  the traffic is bad   มากกว่า

-> ใช้ได้ทุกประโยคครับ  ส่วน traffic jam นี่ รถติดเป็นจุด ๆ หรือถนนเส้นหนึ่ง ๆ ถูกแล้วครับ  เช่น  There's been an accident involving big trucks and I'm caught/stuck in the traffic jam behind it.  (= ได้มีอุบัติเหตุจากรถบันทุก 2คน และก็มีรถติดยาวข้างหลัง)    

   และขึ้นอยู่กับบริบทด้วย เช่น หากเป็นตอนเย็นในกรุงเทพฯที่ฝนตก แล้วเป็นปกติที่รถจะติดเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ทุกคนเข้าใจกัน  ก็ใช้ traffic jam ในความหมายนี้ได้เหมือนกันครับ

 

นอกนั้นยังมีวลีที่น่าสนใจอีกบางอย่างเช่น:

   -  I'm sitting in traffic.  =  I'm stuck in traffic.

   -  The traffic is tied up.  = รถติดมาก เคลื่อนที่ไปไหนไม่ได้เลย

   -  The traffic is gridlocked.  =  รถติดมาก แบบงูกินหาง (คือติดเป็นสี่เหลี่ยม ติดเป็นวงกลม ฯลฯ)

 

และเวลารถติด  หากขับแบบ "แซงไปแซงมา"  ก็ใช้สำนวนว่า  "weave in and out of traffic"  เช่น  Some cars are weaving in and out of traffic to get ahead in heavy traffic.  ( = รถบางคันแซงไปแซงมาเพื่อไปข้างหน้าตอนที่รถติดๆ) 

 

ส่วน "รถไม่ติด"  เช่น:

    - Traffic is moving freely/well. (หรือ flowing freely ก็ได้)

    -  The roads are quite empty/ are not very busy.  (อันนี้ในกรุงเทพฯใช้ช่วงสงกรานต์/ปีใหม่ จะเหมาะดี)

    -  There isn't too much traffic (on the roads today).
