"watch out , beware , be careful

Watch out - the danger is real and here now.
e.g. Watch out! That car is going to hit you.(รถมาโน่นแล้ว จะชนแล้วนะ)
Be careful - the danger could happen, though isn't here now.
e.g. Be careful when you go to Thailand.
Be careful when you do the exam. (the "danger" in this case is getting the answer wrong)
Beware is usually used on signposts to highlight a potential danger.
e.g. Beware of the dog
Beware falling rocks.(ระวังหินหล่นลงมานะ แต่ตอนนี้ก็ยังไม่มีวี่แววว่าหินจะหล่น)

"Watch out" is used when something serious, bad or dangerous is close by or coming towards you.

For example:
- Watch out for that motorcycle. It's driving very fast.
- Watch out! There is a tree in the road.
- Watch out! There is a snake in the grass.
- Watch out! The tree is falling.

"Beware" is often used to give warnings for things that aren't happening right now but could happen sometime.

For example:
- Beware of ghosts.
- Beware of falling rocks.
- You should beware of your brother when he is feeling grumpy. He could hit you.

"Be careful" is a little bit softer than "Watch out!" and is also used more for warnings.

For example:
- Be careful when you cross the road.
- There is a motorcycle coming. Be careful.
- Please be careful with Mommy. If you want to play rough, go play with your Dad.

The easiest way to remember it is:
"Watch out!" is for serious things that are about to happen.
"Beware" is for warnings about things that are not about to happen.
"Be careful" is less emotional than "Watch out!"

ได้ยินจากการ์ตูน บางเรื่องจะ  Look out   แทน  watch out

-  Watch(mind) your head!  You head almost hit the door frame.

-  Watch(mind/be careful of) that bike!

-  Mind(watch/be careful) that you won't slip and hurt yourself!

-  Please mind your gap between train and platform.

-  Watch(mind) yourself! (Be careful!)  Don't swim too far from the shore!

-  When you talk to this customer, watch your words.  Don't be too casual with him.  He is very formal.

-  Watch how you paint the picture!  Don't rush.

"mind"  จะเป็นแบบ British English มากกว่า "watch" ;    ส่วน Look out   และ Watch out  ใช้แทนกันได้ครับ  ความหมาย และการใช้เหมือนกัน

Watch out the mosquito bite you.
