I like someone who is easygoing.
I like a person who has talent.
I like people who are kind.

What kind of person would you like to marry?

I would like someone who has a lot of money.
I like a man/woman/person who is friendly.

Be like vs. Look like

What does John like? (What are his personal preferences?)

He likes horror movies, basketball, chocolate ice cream...

What does John look like? (Physical description)

He is tall, dark and handsome.
He has black hair and wears glasses.

What is John like? (Description of personality)

He is a nice guy. He is very kind and friendly.

ปกติจะได้ยินว่า You will be like..... (someone or something). คุณจะเป็นเหมือน
You will like..... (someone or something). คุณจะชอบ
You may also like.....! คุณก็น่าจะชอบ......นะ (ชักชวน ให้คล้อยตาม)

Sorry that Uncle Natt has not responded for a while. I have been very busy with my work. But I am back.

I like that Khun Pat shared her ideas on "would like, like, be like and look like". Be careful when you use "like" cause It gives different meaning when you use "would like, like, be like and look like".

Example

I would like to go shopping - ฉันอยากไป shopping
I like playing tennis - ฉันขอบเล่น tennis
He is like a funny person - เค้าดูเป็นคนตลก
He looks like a nice guy - เค้าดูเป็นคนดี

is like and looks like ในหลายกรณี ใช้คล้ายๆ กัน
