    หนูอยากได้กล่องใสๆที่มีหูหิ้วด้วย เพื่อจะได้มองเห็นของที่อยู่ข้างใน

    หนูอยากเอาข้าวกล่องไปกินกลางวันที่โรงเรียนในบางวัน  หนูกับเพื่อนจะแบ่งกับข้าวกินด้วยกัน

5. I didn't ask you for helping me, but you volunteer yourself.

    แม่ไม่ได้ขอให้หนูช่วย  แต่หนูอาสามาช่วยเอง

    หนูไม่ได้เล่นเกมส์ตู้ (แบบหยอดเหรีญ) มา 2 อาทิตย์แล้ว  ดังนั้นอาทิตย์นี้หนูสามารถเล่นได้ 3 เกมส์

    ( จะให้เล่นอาทิตย์ละ 1 เกมส์ ถ้าอาทิตย์ไหนไม่ได้เล่นก็จะเก็บไว้เล่นในอาทิตย์ต่อไป)

10. We don't have enough time for vending machine game today, but you can carry forward unused games to next time.

     วันนี้เราไม่มีเวลาพอที่จะเล่นเกมส์ตู้  แต่หนูสามารถเก็บไว้เล่นรวมกับครั้งหน้าได้

->  I want a transparent box with handles so I can see through it.

2. round box  กล่องกลม  /   rectangular box  กล่องสี่เหลี่ยม

                         

->  ใช่ครับ  และ หากเป็นกล่องขนาดเล็ก  (จะ round, square หรือ regtangular) ใส่ไอศครีม, โยเกิร์ต, ยาหม่อง, วิคส์ ฯลฯ ก็ใช้ "tub"  ครับ

3. She is not pretty well, so she slept early

    เธอไม่ค่อยสบาย เลยเข้านอนแต่หัวค่ำ

->  She is not well, so she went to bed early.  (sleep early จะใช้เป็น go to bed early มากกว่าครับ และ "not well" โดยไม่ต้องมี pretty ก็หมายถึง ไม่ค่อยสบาย ตรงตัวครับ)

4. I want to bring my lunch box to school some days. My friends and I will share some food together.

    หนูอยากเอาข้าวกล่องไปกินกลางวันที่โรงเรียนในบางวัน  หนูกับเพื่อนจะแบ่งกับข้าวกินด้วยกัน

->  I want to bring my lunch box to school sometimes/occasionally and my friends and I can share our food together.

5. I didn't ask you for helping me, but you volunteer yourself.

    แม่ไม่ได้ขอให้หนูช่วย  แต่หนูอาสามาช่วยเอง

->  I didn't ask you to help me, you offered/volunteered to do so yourself.

6. ที่รองมือเวลาเล่นคอม   เรียกว่าอะไรค่ะ

       

->  Wrist rest  หรือหากรองมือก็ palm rest ครับ 

7. There is lots of your fingerprint on ipad screen.

     มีรอยนิ้วมือของหนูบนจอ ipad 

->  Your fingerprints are all over iPad screen.  หรือใช้ "smudge"(vt.,n) = ทำให้เกิดรอยเปื้อน สกปรก   ก็ได้เป็น  You've smudged iPad screen with your (dirty) fingers.

     วันนี้เป็นวันหยุดพิเศษ  ดังนั้นจะมีรายการพิเศษทางทีวี

->  I haven't played games for 2 weeks already.  So I can play 3 games this week.

coin-op หรือ arcade machine = ตู้เกมหยอดเหรียญ (source: wikipedia Arcade game)  หากพูดถึงเกมหยอดเหรียญ จะพูดแค่ว่า game ก็ได้ครับ

10. We don't have enough time for vending machine game today, but you can carry forward unused games to next time.

     วันนี้เราไม่มีเวลาพอที่จะเล่นเกมส์ตู้  แต่หนูสามารถเก็บไว้เล่นรวมกับครั้งหน้าได้

2. เรียกผิดมาตลอดเลยค่ะ   a box of ice cream  &   a cup of yogurt   เพิ่งรู้ว่าเรียกว่า  tub   

                 

 

10.  ใช้   carry forward  ไม่ได้หรือค่ะ  ( คล้ายๆ กับการเก็บวันลาพักร้อนที่ไม่ได้ใช้ของปีนี้ ไปใช้ในปีหน้า)

สำหรับข้อ 2 เป็น British English มั้งค่ะ คุณรัชนี

American English ตามรูปที่คุณรัชนีโพสมา ก็ yogurt cup ค่ะ ส่วนไอสครีม ถ้าเป็นแบบเล็กๆ แล้วมีช้อนแถมมาด้วย เวลากินก็ตักกินจากถ้วยเลย ก็เรียก ice cream cup ได้ค่ะ แต่ถ้าขนาดใหญ่ขึ้นมาหน่อย ที่เราต้องตักจากกระป๋องมาใส่ถ้วยกิน ก็เรียกว่า  ice cream carton ได้ค่ะ แต่ส่วนมากเมื่อเรียกตามปริมาตรของ container คำนามแทน container/carton อาจจะละใว้ในที่เท่าใจค่ะ

A: I'm at the market. Do you want anything?
B: Can you get me Chocolate ice cream?
A: What size?
B: Half-gallon (container/carton).

ปรกติทั่วไป จะเรียกว่า ice cream bar ค่ะ แล้วถ้าจะเน้นว่า เป็นแบบมีไม้เสียบก็จะเรียกว่า ice cream bar on a stick อะค่ะ แต่ปรกติแล้ว พูดว่า ice cream bar ก็เข้าใจว่าคือแบบในรูปนะค่ะ

ปรกติเวลาจิ๊บพูด จะแบบนี้ค่ะ (American English จะเป็นประมาณนี้)

I want 2 yogurts. อยากได้โยเกิร์ต 2 ถ้วย
I want two 3 oz. ice creams. ไอศครีม 2 กล่อง

(3 oz. = 3 ounce)

ส่วนการใช้ "tub" รอคุณเอกแหละกันนะค่ะ

ใช้ cup หรือ tub ก็ได้เหมือนกันนะครับ  คือ tub จะมีความหมายเฉพาะแบบที่ Longman Dictionary ให้ความหมายไว้ตามนี้ครับ:

 

tub [countable]

a) a small container made of paper or plastic with a lid, in which food is bought or stored

tub of

- a tub of ice cream

- a margarine tub

 

คือตามความหมายศัพท์  tub จะมีรายละเอียดอย่างนึงที่ต่างกับ cup คือมี ฝา (= lid)  อย่างไปซื้อ Blizzard 1 ถ้วย ไม่มีฝา ก็ใช้ cup of icecream  ส่วน ไอศครีมที่ขายตามตู้ใส่ถ้วยกระดาษมีฝา  จะใช้ tub หรือ cup ก็ได้ครับ

หลงเรียกไอศกรีมแท่งว่า pop ice cream มาตั้งนานแน่ะค่ะ ต่อไปต้องเรียก ice cream bar
