1. จะเป็นไปในลักษณะ represent หรือ symbolize ค่ะ แล้วส่วนมากจะใช้ในภาษาที่ formal 
a token of apology/goodwill/gratitude/thanks และ โดยเฉพาะคำว่า a token of our appreciation จะเห็นบ่อยมาก

หรือ  He is a stock investor with deep pockets.  (= เขาเป็นนักลงทุนที่มีเงินหนา)  ครับ
