หมู่บ้านเด็กสองภาษา พ่อแม่สร้างได้ - สองภาษาดอทคอม

Another good dialogue request from K. Kwan.

Deep Waters

Mommy: We’re at the beach.  Do you want to swim?

Child: Yes!

Mommy: I need to put some suntan lotion on you.  The sun is very strong today.

Child: I don’t want to.

Mommy: Do you want to get a sun burn?  Those are very painful.

Child: No.

Mommy: Then I have to put suntan lotion on you.  Please stand still.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Finished.  Do you have your swim ring?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Put it on before you go in the water, please.  Okay, go ahead.

Child: Yeah!

Mommy:  Please be careful.  Don’t swim out too far.  It’s dangerous.

Child: Mommy, look!  I am swimming.

Mommy: Please don’t go too far out.  The water is too deep for you.

Child: Fun, fun, fun.

Mommy: Come back in towards the beach, please.  You’re too far away.

Child: Lalalala.

Mommy: Can your feet touch the bottom?

Child: No.

Mommy: If your feet can’t touch the bottom then you are too far out.  Swim back towards the beach until your feet can touch the bottom.

Child: I want to swim.

Mommy: If you can’t touch the bottom it is dangerous for you.  You could have an accident.  Either move back towards the beach now or get out of the water.

Child: No.

Mommy: If Mommy has to come in and get you then we are going home.  Move in now.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Thank you.

Playing with sand

Mommy: What are you doing?

Child: I am playing.

Mommy: I can see that.  Are you playing with the sand?

Child: Yes.  It’s fun.

Mommy: If you want to play with the sand there are two rules.  First, you cannot put the sand in your mouth.  Second, you cannot throw the sand.

Child: Why?

Mommy: Sand is very small.  If you put it in your mouth it will be very difficult to get out.

Child:  Okay.

Mommy: And if you throw the sand it could go in your eyes or my eyes and then it will hurt a lot.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: So you must never eat or throw sand.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: I told you not to throw the sand.

Child: I want to play.

Mommy: If you throw the sand again it could go in our eyes.  Then you will cry.

Child: I want to play.

Mommy: If you don’t listen to Mommy you may get in trouble.  Sand in the eyes is very painful.

Child: Ouch!

Mommy: I told you not to throw the sand.  Now you have sand in your eyes.  Does it hurt?

Child:  Yes.

Mommy: We need to wash the sand out with water.  Please stand still.  I will pour water into your eyes.

Child: It hurts!

Mommy: I know.  I told you it would.  Remember this for next time.  Never throw sand.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Can you please say “never throw sand”?

Child:  Never throw sand.

Mommy:  I hope you will remember that.
