It's really help me. Thanks kha.
Eat (one, two, three) more bite(s) of (chicken), please. Then you can go play.
If we say two more spoons? I mean two more spoons of food or rice.
Can we use "go play" in stead of "go to play", can't we?
What is verb used with fork? pick? eg. spoon can be used as a verb.
I wonder if we can say in both "play a toy" or "play with a toy".

Thanks,
Hi Winnie's Mom,

Your English is very good and you have good questions.

You can say:

- Eat two more bites of chicken, please.

You can also say:

- Eat two more spoonfuls of chicken, please.

Both mean two more spoons full of chicken.

You can change chicken and put rice, vegetables, pork, fish, broccoli, etc.

"Go play" is better that "Go to play". "Go to play" is not incorrect but no one ever says it. You always say "Go play".

Verbs with fork:

- Please use your fork
- Please pick up your fork
- Please stab your (chicken) with your fork
- Please use your fork to eat your chicken
- Please put the chicken on your fork

Spoon can mean "to serve". You can say "Please spoon some rice onto your plate." It is more usual to say "Please put some rice on your plate". I always say "Please put some _______ on your plate."

Spoon can be another verb. It can mean to lie in bed and cuddle. It is not a verb you use with children. It is usually only for adults. So you must be careful when you use "spoon" as a verb.

"Play with a toy" is correct. You cannot say "play a toy".

Ways to use "play with a toy":

- Please play with your toys.
- Go play with your toys. Mommy is resting.
- Can you play with your toys?
- What toy do you want to play with?
thank you so much
