Snakes and Ladders Dialogue

Mommy: Do you want to play a game?
Child: Yes.
Mommy: What game do you want to play?
Child: This.
Mommy: This one? You want to play snakes and ladders?
Child: Yes.
Mommy: Good choice. I like Snakes and Ladders. Do you remember how to play?
Child: Yes.
Mommy: Can you show me?
Child: Move piece…..up…..down.
Mommy: That’s right. Very good. You have to move the piece across the board. Sometimes you can move up, sometimes you can move down.
Child: Snake down.
Mommy: That’s right. If you land on a snake then you have to slide down the snake.
Child: Ladder up.
Mommy: Very good. If you land on a ladder then you can climb up the ladder.
Child: Yes.
Mommy: How do you move? What do you need to do?
Child: This.
Mommy: That’s right. You have to roll the dice and move the number you rolled.
Child: Yes.
