หมู่บ้านเด็กสองภาษา พ่อแม่สร้างได้

หมู่บ้านเด็กสองภาษา พ่อแม่สร้างได้ - สองภาษาดอทคอม

Another excellent dialogue request from a parent.  I hope this will be useful at the 89-99 Baht barbeque restaurants.

Mommy:  Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Where do you want to go?

Child: MK!

Mommy: We had MK yesterday.  How about something different?

Child: KFC!

Mommy: KFC is not healthy.  How about going to a barbeque restaurant?

Child: Yeah!

Mommy: Great!  Let’s go.  Here we are at the barbeque restaurant.  Do you want to talk about the rules for eating at a barbeque restaurant?

Child: No.

Mommy: Let’s talk about them anyway.  Rule number one: we don’t play at restaurants.  We play at home.  Restaurants are for eating, yes?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Good.  Rule number two: never touch the grill with your hands or fingers.  It is very hot and it will burn you.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Good.  Now let’s eat.  Where would you like to sit?

Child: Here.

Mommy: Good choice.  Go ahead up to the buffet and get some food.  Remember to only take as much as you think you can eat.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Wow!  That is a lot of food.  Are you sure you can eat all of this?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Alright.  Now we have to cook the food, right?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Can you help Mommy put the pork on the grill?

Child: Okay.

Mommy: And the chicken too.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Thank you.  Now we have to wait for the meat to cook.  Let’s put some vegetables in the water while we wait.  Then they will cook too.

Child: I want pig.

Mommy: We call this pork, not pig.  Pork.  That piece isn't done yet.  It is still raw.  It needs to cook more. You have to turn the meat over to make sure it gets cooked on both sides.

Child: Why?

Mommy: If you eat meat that is too raw, you may get sick.  You have to cook it to make sure there are no bacteria on it.

Child: I don’t want pork.

Mommy: It’s okay. This piece is done.  It is safe.  You can take it off the grill and eat it.  Blow on it first to cool it off.

Child: Okay.  Mmmmm.  What’s this?

Mommy: That is coal.  It’s what heats up the grill.

Child: What is coal?

Mommy: Coal is like wood, except we dig it out of the ground and it can burn a lot longer than wood.

Child: Can I touch it?

Mommy: Be careful!  Don't get too close.  The coal gives off sparks.  It could land on you and burn you.

Child: Oh.

Mommy: How about some more pork?

Child: No, thank you.

Mommy: How about some chicken?

Child: Yes, please.  Mmmmmm.

Mommy: Is it delicious?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: Good.  Please eat all your food.  Then we can come back again some time.

Child: Okay.

Mommy: Are you full?

Child: Yes.

Mommy: If you are ready to go home, please call the waitress over and ask for the bill.

Child: Okay.

Thank you so much for your kind compliment. I must confess that this 2pasa website really help me. I keep learning day by day by using K Big's website area to learn English. And luckily I have met a wonderful teacher like you, who wants to help Thai parents.
