"related"(adj.) = มีความสัมพันธ์/เกี่ยวเนื่องกัน

   เราจะแช่เม็ดแมงลักไว้ในน้ำ มันจะดูดน้ำเข้าไป เราต้องรอจนมันพองเต็มที่จึงกินได้  

->  เวลาเม็ดแมงลัก  หรืออะไรอื่น ๆ ที่แช่น้ำแล้วดูดน้ำพองขึ้นมา มีคำที่ใช้ตรงความหมายนี้เหมือนกันคือ "plump up"(vt,vi) = (เมล็ด หรืออะไรที่แห้ง) พองน้ำ   เป็น  "We will leave hairly basil seeds in the water for a while, they will absorb water.  We have to wait until they plump up,  then they are ready to eat.

"plump up"  ยังใช้กับกริยา ใช้มือตบให้หมอน หรือบางอย่างพองตัว ด้วย  เช่น   I regularly plump up my old pillow before going to bed.

ถ้าเราพูดถึงสภาพของเส้นกว๋ยเตี๋ยวที่อืดเพราะวางไว้นานไม่มากินซักทีพูดยังไงคะ

ก๋วยเตี๋ยวที่อืดเพราะอยู่ในน้ำซุปนานไป จะใช้  "swell (up)"(vi.)  ก็ได้ครับเป็น  The noodles have swollen.   หรือ  The noodles will swell up soon if you don't eat them now.

และหากจะบอกว่า "เละ"  ด้วยก็ใช้ "soggy"  เช่น  The nooldes have become swollen and soggy already.

   หนูต้องเอาขนมไทยที่มีมะพร้าวเป็นส่วนผสมไปโรงเรียน

->  ลองเปลี่ยนหน่อยเป็นแบบนี้นะครับ   I have to bring a Thai dessert that has coconut as one of its ingredients to school.   หรือไม่ก็  I have to bring to school a Thai dessert that is made with coconut.

   

5. พุดสามสี will bear indigo flower at first, turn light purple later and white finally before wilting

    ต้นพุดสามสีจะออกดอกสีน้ำเงินก่อน แล้วเปลี่ยนเป็นม่วงอ่อน และสุดท้ายเป็นสีขาวก่อนที่จะเหี่ยว 

->  ลองใช้ which มาขยายเป็นประโยคซ้อนดูนะครับเป็น   "พุดสามสี first bears indigo flower which then turns purple and, finally, white before wilting."      

หากจะอธิบายว่าตอนนี้ดอกเป็นสีขาว  แต่ตอนแรกมันเป็นสี indigo  ก็ใช้ "at first" ได้ครับเป็น    "At first, พุดสามสี white flower was indigo,  later (on) it turned purple and white as you see now."

ต้นพุดสามสี ก็เป็นต้นไม้ที่ผมชอบเหมือนกันครับ กลิ่นหอม  เคยเห็นในหนังสือเล่มหนึ่งมีชื่อเรียกเป็นภาษาอังกฤษว่า  "Yesterday- today- tomorrow" plant  ซึ่งผมว่าเพราะดีนะครับ  :)

Yesterday- today- tomorrow เพิ่งรู้ชื่อเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ  เพราะจริงๆ ค่ะ   ที่บ้านปลูกไว้ต้นหนึ่งค่ะ ชอบมากๆ ค่ะ

    ดอกไม้ 3 ชนิดนี้ใช้ในวิชาศิลปะ เอาไปจุ่มสีและกดลงบนกระดาษ

    เราต้องเก็บยาแก้อักเสบในที่เย็น ไม่งั้นยาจะเสื่อมคุณภาพ

ใช่ครับชอบมาก ๆ เหมือนกันต้นนี้โดยเฉพาะตอนมันออกดอกเต็มต้น หอมมากด้วย :)

    ดอกไม้ 3 ชนิดนี้ใช้ในวิชาศิลปะ เอาไปจุ่มสีและกดลงบนกระดาษ

->  เติม are หลัง kinds และเปลี่ยน color เป็น paint ก็ใช้ได้แล้วครับ  หรืออีกแบบก็คือ  These 3 kinds of flowers will be used in art class.  I will dip them in paint and press them on paper.

   

7. We have to keep antibiotic refrigerated, otherwise it will deteriorate.

    เราต้องเก็บยาแก้อักเสบในที่เย็น ไม่งั้นยาจะเสื่อมคุณภาพ

->  ได้ครับ  deteriorate จะใช้เป็น  it will go bad  ก็ได้เหมือนกันนะครับ

2เวลาหนูอยากได้อะไรให้พูดดี อย่ากระโดด(หลายๆที)แล้วร้องไห้จะเอาให้ได้ให้ตั้งสติแล้วพูดว่าจะเอาอะไร

->  Whenever you want something, please say it nicely.  There's no need to cry and whine and jump up and down like this.   Come on, pull yourself together and tell me what you want.

"pull yourself together" = ให้ตั้งสติ หลังจากโมโห หรืองอแง
