Where does my food go?

When you swallow food or drink, it gets squeezed down a tube into your stomach. Your stomach squashes and mashes the food into a kind of soup. This "soup" then gets squeezed through a very long winding tube called your intestine. By now, the useful pieces of food are tiny enough to be taken into your blood and carried around your body to give it energy to live and grow.
