 ลองดูเป็นแบบนึงนะครับ

1. I pushed the glass and it tiped over by accident. So I spilled water all.

    หนูปัดแก้วล้มโดยบังเอิญ น้ำก็หกหมดเลย (มีแก้วใส่น้ำตั้งอยุ่)

-> หากมือปัดไปถูกอะไรซักอย่าง แล้วทำให้สิ่งนั้นล้มลง  หรือ เราเดินไปชนอะไรซักอย่าง (หรือชนเด็ก)  แล้วสิ่งที่ชน หรือเด็กล้มลงก็ใช้ "knock something over"  จะตรงความหมายเลยครับ  ดังนั้นประโยคก็อาจจะเป็น  "I knocked over the glass and spilled the water."  ครับ

2. Who threw the book into the space between wall and cabinet.

    ใครขว้างหนังสือเข้าไปที่ว่างระหว่างผนังกับตู้

-> ใช้เหมือนกันครับ  (space ใช้กับช่องที่อยู่ระหว่างสิ่งหนึ่ง กับสิ่งหนึ่ง  แต่หากเป็น ช่อง ที่เกิดจากอะไรหัก หรือหายไปก็ใช้ "gap"  เช่น a gap in the fence  นะครับ)

3. The milk bottle has more nutrient than the milk box, but it will be spoiled faster. Besides we have to keep it cold all the time. So, when you stay home, you should drink milk bottle, But if you went out, you would have to drink milk box.

    นมขวดจะมีคุณค่าสารอาหารมากกว่านมกล่อง แต่มันจะเสียเร็วกว่า  และเราต้องเก็บให้เย็นตลอดเวลา  ดังนั้นเมื่ออยู่บ้าน หนูควรจะดื่มนมขวด แต่ถ้าไปข้างนอก ก็ต้องดื่มนมกล่อง

->  Milk in the bottle is more nutritious (หรือ has more nutrients ก็ได้) than milk in the carton.  But it gets spoiled faster so we have to keep it refrigerated.  When you're at home, you should drink milk from the bottle.  On the other hand, if you are outside, you should drink milk from carton.

อาจจะใช้ "sterilized milk" สำหรับนมกล่อง  และ  "pasteurized milk" สำหรับนมขวด ก็ดีนะครับ  เพราะพูดถึงประเภทของนมเลย

4. The price of your lunch is included your school fee already. If you didn't have it, you will just lose your right. No problem. But if you wanted to keep your right, you should have it.

   ค่าอาหารกลางวันรวมอยู่ในค่าเทอมแล้ว  ถ้าหนูไม่กิน ก็แค่เสียสิทธิ์ของเราไปเท่านั้น  ไม่มีปัญหาอะไร   แต่ถ้าอยากรักษาสิทธิ์ของตัวเอง ก็ควรจะกินของโรงเรียน

->  Lunch fee is already included in the tuition fees.  If you don't eat your lunch, you'll just waste your money.  But, it's up to you anyway.  If you want to protect your own right, you should eat your school lunch.

5. My friend took his lunch box to school every day. He told me, he didn't like school's lunch because it  taste plain. He like to eat spicy food.

   เพื่อนของหนูเอาข้าวกล่องไปกินเองทุกวัน เขาบอกว่า เขาไม่ชอบอาหารกลางวันของโรงเรียนเพราะมันจืด เขาชอบกินอาหารเผ็ดๆ

->  My friend brings lunch box to school everyday.  He said he didn't like school lunch.  It's tasteless/bland.  He likes hot/ spicy/fiery  food.

bland = ไม่ค่อยมีรสชาต จืด (เช่นอาหารเด็กอ่อน);

tasteless = ไม่มีรสชาตเลย (ไปในทางลบ คือไม่อร่อยด้วย);

hot / spicy = เผ็ด ;

fiery = เผ็ดจัด เผ็ดมาก (ดีกรีมากกว่า hot หรือ spicy ครับ)

6.  I completely forgot

     I don't totally trust him.

     It was absolutely my fault.

   การใช้คำ   completely     totally     absolutely    เลือกใช้ต่างกันอย่างไรค่ะ

->  ที่คุณรัชนียกตัวอย่างมาก็ใช้ได้หมดนะครับ  หลัก ๆแล้ว  ใช้ทั้ง 3 คำแทนกันได้ในประโยค  และตาม Longman dictionary  :  totally = completely  ส่วน  absolutely = completely and in every way

"absolutely" จะใช้ในอีกรูปแบบคือ  ใช้พูด  "Absolutely!" (= completely agreed)  หรือ  "Absolutely not!" (= I strongly don't agree with you.)   ในบทสนทนาในทำนอง  "แน่นอน!" หรือ  "ไม่แน่นอน!"  ด้วยครับ

อ่าแล้วได้เรียนรู้เยอะเลยค่ะ ขอบคุณคุณรัชนีที่ตั้งกระทู้และคุณเอกที่เข้ามาตอบนะคะ
ขอเสนอประโยคที่ว่า Who threw the book into the space between wall and cabinet.
ใครขว้างหนังสือเข้าไปที่ว่างระหว่างผนังกับตู้
อาจจะพูดแค่ who threw the book into the space behind the cabinet? ก็ได้ค่ะ

ขอบคุณคุณจิรายุ  ที่ร่วมแชร์ค่ะ

1.  ขอถามเพิ่มการใช้    knock , bump , hit

     -  หัวชนโต๊ะ  Becareful, your head will knock / bump / hit  the table.  ใช้ได้ทั้งสามคำไหมค่ะ

     -  อย่าทุบของเล่นกับโต๊ะ  Don't hit your toy on the table.   ใช้ hit on ถูกไหม

    แล้ว hit & hit on  ใช้ต่างกันอย่างไร

3.  we have to keep it refrigerated

5. It's bland   เหมือนกับ   mild taste  ไหมค่ะ

6. Absolutely / Absolutely not   เหมือนกับ   Of course /  Of course not.  ไหมค่ะ  (ดูหนัง ได้ยินบ่อยทั้ง 4 คำเลยค่ะ)

1.  ขอถามเพิ่มการใช้    knock , bump , hit

     -  หัวชนโต๊ะ  Becareful, your head will knock / bump / hit  the table.  ใช้ได้ทั้งสามคำไหมค่ะ

     -  อย่าทุบของเล่นกับโต๊ะ  Don't hit your toy on the table.   ใช้ hit on ถูกไหม

    แล้ว hit & hit on  ใช้ต่างกันอย่างไร

-> 1.  hit กับ  hit on ในประโยค Don't hit your toy on the table.  ก็คือ hit + on ที่เป็น preposition ขยาย toy ที่อยู่บนโต๊ะ เท่านั้นครับ  เหมือนกับอีกตัวอย่างเช่น hit the nail on the head  ครับ

knock/bump/hit  ความหมายทั้ง 3 คำรูปแบบการใช้ไม่เหมือนกัน  ถึงแม้มีความหมายหนึ่งว่า "อวัยวะชนบางอย่าง" ดังนั้น  Be careful, your head will knock/bump/ hit the table.  หากจะใช้ทั้ง 3 คำในประโยคนี้ให้มีความหมายใกล้เคียงกัน  ต้องใช้ตามรูปแบบของคำนั้น ๆ คือ

    1. " knock"  จะใช้แบบต้องมี object ตามหลัง (และ เป็นtransitive verb  เท่านั้น) และใช้ กับ on หรือ against  เช่น

      -  you will knock your head on/against the table.  ครับ

     2. "bump"  อันนี้ใช้ได้แบบทั้ง  transitive & "intransitive verb + adverb" เช่น

     -  you will bump your head on the table.  (transive verb)

     -  your head will bump into/against the table.  (intransitive verb  คือ bump ไม่ได้ตามด้วย object  แต่ต้อง ตามด้วย adverb เช่น into/against  ตลอดครับ)

     3.  "hit"  ในบรรดาทั้ง 3 คำ ผมว่า hit ใช้ง่ายสุด  คือใช้เป็น  transitive verb และ ตามด้วย object ได้เลย และจะมีหรือไม่มี adverb ตามก็ได้ เช่น

     -  your head will hit the table.

     -  your head will hit against the table.

 --------------------------

3.  we have to keep it refrigerated

5. It's bland   เหมือนกับ   mild taste  ไหมค่ะ

- ไม่ค่อยเหมือนกันเท่าไหร่นะครับ  คือ bland = รสชาตจืด แบบไม่ค่อยมีรสชาต  แต่ mild taste = รสชาต "อ่อน, ไม่แรง/ไม่จัด"   อย่างรสชาตอาหารไทย เทียบกับ อาหารญี่ปุ่น  ก็ต้องสรุปได้ว่า Japanese has mild taste  แต่ไม่ได้หมายความว่า Japanese food is bland  ครับ

6. Absolutely / Absolutely not   เหมือนกับ   Of course /  Of course not.

Can I use this pencil?  Yes, of course.  /   Can I go out with him to a movie?   No, of course not!

ขอบคุณค่ะ

  -  เพิ่งรู้ว่าใช้   knock  & bump   ผิดมาตลอดเลยค่ะ

  -  แสดงว่า  of course (not)   ใช้ได้กว้างกว่า  absolutely (not)
