เมฆน้อย/หุบกระจกมองข้าง/กดปากกา

1.ลูกถามว่า Why is it sunny?

ต้องการจะบอกลูกว่า เพราะวันนี้เมฆน้อย แสงอาทิตย์จึงผ่านมาบ้านเราได้มาก

2.เราต้องหุบกระจกมองข้างรถยนต์ เวลาเราจอดรถไว้ข้างทาง จะได้ไม่โดนรถคันอื่นเฉี่ยว

3.หุบ/กาง กระจกมองข้างรถ ควรใช้กิริยาว่าอะไรดีคะ

4.การเลื่อนขึ้น/ลงกระจกหน้าต่างรถ เคยดูคายุแล้วคายุใช้ roll window down แต่เดี๋ยวนี้มันเป็นระบบไฟฟ้ากันหมดแล้ว ไม่รู้ว่ายังใช้คำนี้ได้หรือเปล่าคะ

5.กดปากกา (เวลาเราจะใช้ปากกาเขียนนะคะ)

6.พอฝนใกล้จะตก พวกมดจะอพยพเข้ามาอยู่ในบ้านเราเต็มไปหมด

ลองดูนะค่ะ

1. It's sunny because there is not much cloud in the sky today

2. We have to fold the wing mirrors when we park the car. Otherwise it might be hit by other cars

3. fold/unfold the wing mirrors

4. น่าจะเหมือนเดิมนะค่ะ

5. ไม่แน่ใจค่ะ รอคนอื่นมาตอบนะค่ะ

6. We'll see lot of ants all over the house when it's about to rain.

1.  There is not much cloud in the sky.  So, a lot of sunlight is streaming through our windows.

"stream" = (แสง)ส่องเข้ามาตามหน้าต่าง,ช่องต่าง ๆ

2.  We have to fold the side mirrors of our car when we park the car alongside the road.  Otherwise, the passing cars can clip our mirrors.  

"clip" =  เฉี่ยวชน  เช่น  "He was clipped by a motorcycle on the way to office this morning." (เขาถูกมอเตอร์ไซด์เฉี่ยวขณะมาที่ทำงานเช้านี้)   

3.  Fold/unfold the side mirrors.  = หุบ/กาง

4.  "roll up/down the car window" จากที่ได้ยินการใช้มาก็ยังใช้อยู่ครับ เพราะถือว่าเป็นตัวกระจกรถที่ roll up/down   แต่ก็มีใช้อย่างอื่น ๆ ด้วยหลากหลาย  เช่น ปิดประจกรถ = raise/close the window ;  เปิดกระจกรถ = lower/open the window    ง่ายสุดคือ  open/close ครับ

5.  ปากกาแบบที่กดด้านบนเพื่อให้หัวออกมา = "retractable ball point pen"  เวลากดอาจจะพูดเป็น  "push/press the button on top of the pen"  ก็ได้ครับ

6.  When it is going to rain, lots of ants come into (หรือ move into) our house.
