2.ถ้าหนูทำผิดต้องยอมรับผิดอย่าโยนความผิดให้คนอื่น

If you do the wrong thing, you have to accept responsibility for your actions. Don't take it out on other people.

1.  I have been preaching you all the time to take responsibility of what you do. 

(take responsibility = รับผิดชอบเพื่อทำสิ่งที่ต้องทำ, หน้าที่, ภาระ, งาน, ฯลฯ   ส่วน  accept responsibility = ยอมรับผิดชอบสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น  ซึ่งจะเป็นในทางเมื่อเกิดปัญหา ครับ  เช่น  "You have to accept the responsibility if the plan goes wrong. I'm warning you."

หรือ  This security guard has taken the responsibility  to guard the bank.  If he fails to do his duties, he must accept full responsibility.)

 

2.  If you do wrong, you have to admit it.  Don't blame others.  

3.  คนเราต้องมีศักดิ์ศรี   ประโยคที่แปลตรง ๆ อาจจะไม่มี แต่อาจจะใช้ว่า     "You must live an honourable life."  หรือ  "Everyman should live an honourable life."

  ข้อ 2    ใช้  accept responsibility  ได้ใช่ไหมค่ะ

  แล้วถ้าจะพูดว่า   หนูต้องรับผิดชอบต่อหน้าที่ของตนเอง  You should take responsibility to your duty  ถูกไหมค่ะ

ข้อ 2 ใช้ accept responsibility ก็ได้ครับเป็น  "You have to accept responsibility for what you did wrong."  หรือจะรูปประโยคอื่นๆ ก็ได้นะครับลองดู

 

ส่วน หนูต้องรับผิดชอบต่อหน้าที่ของตนเอง  ประโยคนี้ "responsibility" ก็หมายถึง "duty to be in charge of someone or something so that you can make decisions and can be blamed if something bad happens"  ซึ่งความหมายทั้ง 2 คำจะใกล้เคียงกัน  และในภาษาอังกฤษไม่เคยเห็นที่ใช้ "responsible ต่อ duties" เหมือนในประโยคภาษาไทย  แต่ที่ผมเห็นใช้บ่อยในกรณี  "ต้องรับผิดชอบต่อหน้าที่ของตนเอง"  จะเป็นอันนี้มากกว่า:

"You have to fulfill your own duties."  

 

หรือท่านอื่น จะแชร์เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ให้กระจ่างขึ้นอีกก็ดีครับ
