A      : Mom, B won’t share his snack with me.

Mom : Why?

A       : He is stingy. When I have snack I always give him some/share it with him but he doesn’t do  

            the same. / He doesn’t pay me back(*1).

Mom : O.K call B to talk/speak with me.

B      : (present) Did you call me?/Did you ask A to call me?

Mom : Yes. I would like to know if it is true that you didn’t share your snack with him.

B      : Yes, but I have just a little bit and it’s not enough to share with him.

Mom : No matter how little you have (got*2). You should share every time you have snack.

          Be nice with him.

          This morning he shared his snack with you and you should do the same too/as well.   

          Remember that you have to treat people in the way you want to be treated.(*3)

          If you want other people to treat you well you should treat people well first. Got it!

B      : O.K

Mom : Now you are talking(*4). /Now you understood what I said. Thank you.

Going to a Thai restaurant

Mom : Let’s go to a Thai restaurant. I would like to eat Thai food today. (I have taken my son to the restaurant already)

Kid : (Shouts)No. I don’t want to go to this restaurant. I don’t like it. It’s not yummy.

You always come here ( we are at the Central Shopping Mall). It’s boring.

You are selfish. You don’t think about me at all.

Mom : Calm down. Stop screaming now! Look! Every one is looking at you.

It’s embarrassing/imbᵆrᵊs/. ? Aren’t you ashamed(d sound)?

Please behave yourself. I’m ashamed of you.

Listen to me. It’s not boring to eat here. There are many kinds of food for you to eat, not only spicy things.

Kid : No. No. No.

Mom : So what do you want to eat.

Kid : I want Barbeque( BBQ)

Mom : Do you want to eat at a Barbeque restaurant?

             Sorry. It’s full/ Sorry it’s closed today.

Kid : We haven’t checked it yet. How do you know?

Mom : (I tell him a lie) Yes I am sure. It’s closed today. O.K Let’s see the menu. I’ll let you choose first. O.K?

Kid : O.K

Mom : What would you like to eat?

Kid : (He points at ice-cream) Ice-cream

Mom : O.K .You can order an ice-cream but not now. O.K. It will melt. You can have it after finishing your food. Now choose the food that you want to eat from the menu.

Kid :  Em………………

Mom : Quick! Hurry up. Make up your mind (“make a quick decision” for adults speaking, office, company). The waiter is waiting. He doesn’t have all day (to wait for you)/He is busy.

Kid : O.K Can I have this?

Mom : Sure./ Why not?

(After finishing lunch)

Mom : Did you enjoy it/Did you enjoy the food/ (ในกรณีถามว่าสนุกกับการทานอาหารไหม ก็พูดว่า ....enjoy it/ enjoy the food ไปเลย  ไม่ต้องพูด enjoy eating.

 {แต่ถ้าจะถามว่าวันนี้เรียนว่ายน้ำสนุกไหม Did you enjoy swimming class? ดูหนัง Did you enjoy watching cartoon?}

Kid : Yes, very much.

Mom : See. I told you there are many kind of delicious food in this restaurant.

Please promise me that next time you will never scream when we are out/ you will never scream in public.

It’s bad manners. It’s very impolite and I am not happy to see that. O.K

Kid : O.K

Mom : Now you are talking.

 Honey!When I tell you off, don’t make a face at me/don’t make faces at me (ทำหน้าตาล้อเลียน ถ้าทำหลายๆหน้าก็เติม S ).

I am serious. I mean it. I’m not joking
