This is another topic from K. Kwan. It is a good idea.
This is a dialogue for when Mommy is cooking in the kitchen and the daughter or son comes in to play.
Mommy: (name), what are you doing in here? Mommy is cooking.
Child: I want to play.
Mommy: Mommy is busy right now. I am preparing your food. Can you please play somewhere else?
Child: No.
Mommy: Be careful! The burner (hotplate) is very hot! If you touch it you will hurt your hand a lot!
Child: Hehehe.
Mommy: Mommy needs to concentrate. Please go play in the family room.
Child: What's this?
Mommy: Stop! That is not for playing with. It is very sharp.
Child: It's a toy?
Mommy: No, it's not a toy. Please go and play with your own toys. Mommy needs to cook our food.
Child: I want to play.
Mommy: Are you hungry?
Child: Yes.
Mommy: Do you want to eat?
Child: Yes.
Mommy: Then Mommy has to stand here and cook your food. Please be patient. Go and play for 5 minutes and it will be ready.
Child: Okay.
Mommy: Thank you, (name).
