สอบผ่านฉลุย/สอบผ่าน/สอบแค่ผ่าน/เกือบตก

ขอแชร์วลีที่ใช้กับลูก ๆ เกี่ยวกับการสอบนะครับ  เป็นวลีที่ใช้ไม่ยาก เหมาะกับการสอบทุกสถานการณ์:

 

1.  สอบ = sit for an exam / take an exam

     -  I have to sit for an exam/take an exam on ........   

2.  เตรียมตัวสอบดี ๆ จะได้ผ่านฉลุย   =  sail through an exam

    -  Study a lot for the exam.  If you do, I'm sure you'll sail through it.

     

3.  ทำข้อสอบได้ดี = do well in the exam

    -  How was your exam today?  ->  Oh, I did well in the exam.

4.  ผลสอบออกมาดีมาก  = pass an exam with flying colors

    -  Mommy, I passed the final exam with flying colors. 

 

5.  ทำข้อสอบไม่ค่อยได้เลย = do badly in an exam

    -  I did badly in the exam today.  I tell you now so you won't scold me later.

6.  แค่ผ่าน =  scrape through an exam

   - The exam was so hard.  I only managed to scrape through it. 

    เกือบตก =  barely scrape through an exam

   - I could barely scrape through that tough math exam. 

7.  สอบตก =  fail an exam

   -  I still love you though you failed the exam.  Study harder next time.

8.  สอบใหม่  = retake the exam

   -  Study harder and you can retake the exam.  I'm sure you'll pass it next time.

     สอบซ่อม = remedial exam

   -  You could take remedial exam this summer too.

ถ้าจะบอกว่า ทำข้อสอบได้กี่ข้อ "ข้อ" เค้าใช้คำว่าอะไรคะ point หรือเปล่าคะ

1.ผลสอบเป็นยังไงคะ ทำได้กี่ข้อจากทั้งหมดกี่ข้อ (ปกติครูจะบอกคะแนนหลังจากทำเลยค่ะ)

 How many questions did you get wrong?   ทำผิดกี่ข้อ

 

อาทิตย์ลูกชายจะสอบแล้วค่ะ  จะได้เอาไปพูด     อยากจะได้ยินแบบที่ 3 และ 4 ค่ะ  ไม่รู้ว่าจะได้ฟังหรือไม่

สำนวน เกี่ยวกับ flying colors ค่ะ = with great success (โดยส่วนตัว ก็ยังไม่เคยใช้สำนวนนี้เลยค่ะ)

เจาะลึกคำว่าscrape through (PHR V)  =to succeed with difficulty in doing something, especially in passing an examniation

เช่น1. She only just scraped through the test สอบได้อย่างหวุดหวิด

      2. I did no revision and only just SCRAPED THROUGH the final exams

      3. "Today I took and passed the VCP5 exam. I can’t say I passed with flying colours or in an exemplary manner.

         In fact I would say I scraped through."
