Sawasdee ka
Sawasdee ka, I came across this website looking for somthing else but so glad I have found it. First i like to say hello to every one here, I love to read about other mum experience in teaching, in my case teach my son and daughter to speak Thai, personally i find it hard as i am not a talkative person so I try to read story to my children instead of talking hehe. Son is nearly 6 and can talk thai very little always feel guilty that I did't teach him more when he was younger.
Now with daughter 14 months i am stay at home mum so I spend a lot of time with her, all the time talk to her in thai but when son come back home from school, have to change back to english as he only understand a little thai. Still I speak thai to daughter and hope that son will pick up more thai as i dont want to make the same mistake. I am determine that this time round daughter must speak and understand thai at the same time improve my son understanding in Thai.
Any suggesstion is very welcome.
Kobkun ka
Thank you

Khun Jay, I am so glad to know what my vdos and tips are useful for you. Once you start teaching her to read, you will surprise to see how fast she learn. Young children loves learning. They acquire knowledge and they LOVE TO LEARN.
Just spend a little bit of your time teaching her every day. It requires a lot of effort and patient but you will get paid off BIG TIME when she knows the sign of reading. I've been there, and done that. :-)
Hi Khun Jay
I was tied up with christmas shopping and my son's birthday party. It's all done now. I can sit back and relax this week. I started to teach my son Thai consonants last few months. He seems to pick up very well. We will carry on what we are doing and see the outcome in the near future. Will let you know by then.
