ขอถามคำศัพท์หน่อยค่ะ

grandfather clock ที่แปลว่านาฬิกาลูกตุ้มใหญ่ มาจากเพลงเด็กชื่อ grandfather clock ค่า เนื้อหาบอกว่า นาฬิกาลูกตุ้มเรือนนี้คุณปู่โปรดปรานมาก และไม่เคยเกเร แต่พอคุณปู่จากไป นาฬิกาก็หยุดเดินไปด้วย แนทเข้าใจว่า น่าจะเป็นคำเรียกแบบไม่เป็นทางการได้ แต่ถ้าเป็นทางการก็ใช้ longcase clock แบบที่คุณ Pat บอกก็ได้ค่ะ

3. A longcase clock, also tall-case clock, grandfather clock or floor clock, is a freestanding, weight-driven, pendulum clock with the pendulum held inside the tower, or waist of the case. Clocks of this style are commonly 1.8–2.4 meters (6–8 feet) tall. The case often features elaborately carved ornamentation on the hood, or bonnet, which surrounds and frames the dial, or clock face.
