หมู่บ้านเด็กสองภาษา พ่อแม่สร้างได้ - สองภาษาดอทคอม

ขอให้แข็งแรง/เสียงเบาไป/เพิ่มเสียงไม่ได้

1.ขอพระให้คุ้มครองให้หนูแข็งแรงสิลูก (เวลาไปไหว้พระนะค่ะ)

2.ต้องรักษาสุขภาพให้แข็งแรงนะ พ่อจะได้พาไปเที่ยว

3.เสียงเบาเกินไป(เสียงจากVCD player) แม่แทบจะไม่ได้ยินเลย

4.เราเพิ่มเสียงดังกว่านี้ไม่ได้แล้ว เพราะแม่เปิดจนดังสุดแล้ว

5.เราจะไปนอนค้างคืนที่บ้านปู่ย่า

6.(แม่ให้พรลูกในวันเกิด)แม่ขอให้ขอลูกแข็งแรง เป็นเด็กดี ไม่ดื้อกับพ่อแม่นะ

You should take good care of your health. Daddy will take you to go on a tirp again.

The volume is too low. I can barely hear.

4.เราเพิ่มเสียงดังกว่านี้ไม่ได้แล้ว เพราะแม่เปิดจนดังสุดแล้ว

I turn volume all the way up. I can't turn it up more. ไม่แน่ใจ รอท่านอื่นด้วยนะคะ

5.เราจะไปนอนค้างคืนที่บ้านปู่ย่า

We will stay over night at grandpa's house.

เสริมนะคะ

1. Pray for Buddha to look after you and bless you healthy.

2. Daddy will take you on a trip again (optional)

3. I can barely hear it.

4. ก็ได้อยู่นะคะ

I can't turn the volume up anymore. It's the max(imum) level.

ขอร่วมแชร์ด้วยนะครับ

1. May Lord Bhuddha protect you and keep you strong (and healthy).

2. Keep yourself fit so that papa can take you on a trip. (fit = strong and healthy)

3. The sound is too soft. I can barely hear it. (barely = แทบจะไม่...)

4. It won't get louder. We can't turn the volume up any more.

5. We will stay over at grandpa's home. (stay over = stay one or more nights away from home = stay overnight = ค้างคืน)

6. I wish you a good and healthy boy, but don't be stubborn with mama and papa. :-)

3. สังเกตว่าทั้งคุณ Alissa และ คุณเอก ใช้คำว่า barely

อยากทราบว่า คำว่า rarely ความหมายเหมือนกันหรือเปล่าคะ ใช้แทนกันได้ไหมคะ

เหมือน เล็ก จะเข้าใจอะไรผิดแล้วแน่ๆเล้ย

ทั้ง 2 คำหากแปลเป็นไทยก็คล้ายกัน คือ "แทบจะไม่..." แต่หากตามความหมายของภาษาอังกฤษจะใช้ต่างกัน

"barely" = 1. only with great difficulty or effort [= only just] หรือ 2. almost not [= hardly] ซึ่งจะใช้หลัก ๆ กับการอธิบาย "ประสาทสัมผัส" เช่น การมอง/เห็น (barely visible), การได้ยิน(barely audible), การรับรู้(barely discernible, perceptible)

หรือใช้แทน "only" หรือ "only just" เช่น "One hundred Baht today is barely enough for an office worker."

"rarely" = not often, not frequently ใช้กับ "ความถี่ หรือ ความบ่อย (ที่ไม่บ่อย)" ในการทำอะไรซักอย่าง

เช่น "He rarely comes to Bangkok." / "This kid rarely complains." / "She rarely drives car to work."

แล้วคำว่า hardly ใช้ต่างกันอย่างไรค่ะ (เข้าไปดูที่ Longman Dic. แล้ว แต่ไม่มั่นใจค่ะ )

Hardly, as an adverb by itself, means only just, and equates with barely and scarcely.

Jonathan could hardly walk but already knew how to swim.
I barely / hardly / scarcely knew Jack, although I know he was a great friend of John's.
We had barely / hardly / scarcely finished dinner when they arrived.
