ผ่านด่าน ตั้งด่าน

1. เวลาจะผ่านด่านเก็บเงิน ต้องดูสัญญาณไฟด้านบน ถ้าเห็นเป็นสีเขียว เราก็เข้าไปและจ่ายค่าผ่านทางได้

ถ้าเห็นเป็นสีแดง แสดงว่าด่านนั้นปิด ถ้าเห็นไฟสีเหลือง อันนั้นสำหรับบัตรeasy pass

2.ถ้าเรามีบัตร easy pass ก็จะสามารถผ่านด่านไปได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ไม่ต้องเสียเวลาจ่ายเงินและรอเงินทอน

เพราะเค้าจะมีเครื่องสแกนบัตรตอนที่เราเข้าไปในด่าน

3. เราเข้าไปตรงช่องที่มีสัญญาณไฟสีแดงขึ้นอยู่ไม่ได้ เพราะเค้าปืด และมีไม้กั้นอยู่ เราก็จะผ่านออกไปไม่ได้

At a toll station, we have to check the light above the lane before entering. The green light means the toll booth is open. The red light means the toll booth is closed. The yellow light means Easy Pass only.

2.ถ้าเรามีบัตร easy pass ก็จะสามารถผ่านด่านไปได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ไม่ต้องเสียเวลาจ่ายเงินและรอเงินทอน เพราะเค้าจะมีเครื่องสแกนบัตรตอนที่เราเข้าไปในด่าน

If we have Easy Pass, we just scan the card at the toll booth. It's fast and easy. Don't have to fumble for change, or wait for cashier to give us change.
 

3. เราเข้าไปตรงช่องที่มีสัญญาณไฟสีแดงขึ้นอยู่ไม่ได้ เพราะเค้าปืด และมีไม้กั้นอยู่ เราก็จะผ่านออกไปไม่ได้
We cannot enter the lane with red light because it's closed. There is a toll barrier blocking the exit. / There is a toll barrier at the exit.

3. นี่คือด่านตำรวจเฝ้าระวังอันตราย (ช่วง 7 วันอันตรายน่ะคะ)
This is police checkpoint.

ด่านตรวจทั่วไป เรียกว่า checkpoint หรือ random checkpoint ก็ได้ค่ะ


4. ตำรวจตั้งด่านตรวจค้นสิ่งผิดกฎหมาย สิ่งผิดกฎหมายเช่น ยาเสพย์ติด อาวุธ หรือคนที่ขับรถเร็วเกินกำหนด

Police set up a checkpoint to search for illegal activities such as drug smuggling, illegal firearms, or speeding cars.

->  When we arrive at the toll plaza, we have to look at the signal lights above the toll lanes.  Green one means you can drive in and pay cash there.  The yellow one means you pay electronically by easy pass card.  The red one means that lane is closed.

 

2.ถ้าเรามีบัตร easy pass ก็จะสามารถผ่านด่านไปได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ไม่ต้องเสียเวลาจ่ายเงินและรอเงินทอน

เพราะเค้าจะมีเครื่องสแกนบัตรตอนที่เราเข้าไปในด่าน

->  With Easy Pass card, we can pass relatively quickly because the card will be immediately read by the reader while we drive through.  No need to waste time giving cash and getting back the change.

(relatively =  เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับอย่างอื่น)

3. เราเข้าไปตรงช่องที่มีสัญญาณไฟสีแดงขึ้นอยู่ไม่ได้ เพราะเค้าปืด และมีไม้กั้นอยู่ เราก็จะผ่านออกไปไม่ได้

->  We can't drive into the lane with red light above.  It's closed.  There's a barrier there and we cannot drive through.

3. นี่คือด่านตำรวจเฝ้าระวังอันตราย (ช่วง 7 วันอันตรายน่ะคะ)

->  This is a police checkpoint.  It's part of the safe driving campaign during the new year holidays.

4. ตำรวจตั้งด่านตรวจค้นสิ่งผิดกฎหมาย สิ่งผิดกฎหมายเช่น ยาเสพย์ติด อาวุธ หรือคนที่ขับรถเร็วเกินกำหนด

->  The checkpoint is set up to stop any suspicious looking cars to search for illegal items like drugs, weapons.  Those who drive over the speed limit are also stopped there.

When we drive in and money in easy pass card is deducted as much money as toll, the barrier will be lifted up automatically, then we can drive through. But in my case, i always like to check my balance every time to see if it is right or not by looking at the screen while easy pass card is scanned
เมื่อเราขับเข้าไป และเงินในบัตรถูกหักไปเท่ากับค่าผ่านทางแล้ว ไม้กั้นจะยกขึ้นเองโดยอัตโนมัติ เราก็ขับผ่านไปได้ แต่ในกรณีของแม่ แม่ชอบที่จะเช็คยอดคงเหลือทุกครั้งว่าถูกต้องหรือไม่ โดยการดูที่หน้าจอเวลาที่บัตรถูกสแกน

When w drive in, the money in the card will be deducted as equal as toll service, then the barrier will be lifted up automatically , let's pass. I would like to check the left money on the card by scanning screen to correct the balance after deducted.

When we pass through the Easy Pass toll booth, {the amount of toll is} {tolls are} automatically deducted from the account. Then, the barrier is lifted to allow us through. For me, I always stop to check my account balance on the display before I leave.
